Celebrating the culture, heritage and beauty of Limpopo
We recently had the privilege of a visit from Love Limpopo (The Travelling Circus) with whom we share a passion for our unique biosphere of the Kruger, and the culture and heritage of the beautiful Limpopo province.
Love Limpopo promote tourism hotspots in Limpopo, showcasing often unknown and unexplored unique tourist gems in order to drive tourism in the area. See below some of the wonderful experiences to explore when you next stay with us.
The Ribola Art Route (named after a mountain in the area) in Mbokota, near Elim, Limpopo, personifies the African spirit; a melting pot of Tsonga, Venda, Tsonga and Shangaan cultures, celebrating culture and traditions through art; music; crafts and the age-old African tradition of story-telling.
Our local Gin & Whisky distillers. Every detail of the experience at Qualito Distillery is carefully crafted, from the beautiful bottles to a delectable block of fudge paired with one of their infused liquors and the personal attention of Loumarie, Pierre or Assistant Distiller, Mary Noboza.
When you next stay with us, this is a must visit!
Zwakala Brewery overlooks the mountains of Magoebaskloof where you can go for a tasting, enjoy a picnic or head down to the river with a craft beer in hand.
Each batch of beer is handcrafted with nothing unnatural used in the brewing process – the most important ingredient being the clear and pure mountain water drawn from the Letaba River. As the saying goes, “once you have tasted the water of the Letaba, you will never want to leave”.
Wegraakbosch Organic Farm and Dairy in Magoebaskloof is all about working with nature and not against it…understanding that to truly live sustainably, we need to be one with nature rather than seeing ourselves as separate. In this time, it couldn’t be more poignant…we are getting back to our roots and seeing the value of those who are producing healthy, organic food and taking care of the earth.
All of these businesses are what makes Limpopo as special as it is! A huge thank you to Love Limpopo for portraying how culturally diverse and special our little part of the world is! If you want to experience Limpopo to the fullest, book a stay with us and dive into the beauty of all Limpopo has to offer.
