Head into the Kruger on a self-game-drive and make your first stop at the historical Masorini Archaeological Site. At this restored village, which is situated 11km from the Phalaborwa Gate into the Park, you can take a self-guided tour back in time to the stone ages and learn the fascinating past on how local tribes before us lived in harmony with the environment.
Lunch – tantalise your tastebuds at Letaba Rest Camp ????
Jump back on track and make your way through to the green oasis of the northern Kruger, the Letaba Rest Camp, this is an excellent game viewing route where elephants are the most commonly seen mammal. Download our wildlife checklist and see how many mammals you can spot enroute. Stop at the camp and treat yourself to a mouth-watering lunch at their restaurant, which has spectacular bushveld views and overlooks the Letaba River acting as the ideal viewpoint. Head back to Bushveld Terrace for a short afternoon nap, an indulgent cocktail whilst relaxing on sun loungers or a refreshing dip in the pool.
